Nicholas Tommasini

Responsible for the organization of national and international simulations of the United Nations.

Received a diploma in political science and international relations from the University of Florence and a thesis on “Energy diplomacy–the energy sector as a soft power for international diplomacy”. Tommasini participated in his first United Nations simulations during his fourth year of high school and later worked as a volunteer. His career continued as he later became project manager at the most prestigious national and international simulations of the UN where he also served as Secretary General. 

He currently serves as chief of staff for more than ten international simulations where he actively collaborates with highschools and universities around the world to organize private and public conferences. 

Innovator under 35 years olds in the United Nations simulation sector, promoting the application of artificial intelligence and gamification software projects to education and communication.

Professor Gianluca Pastori

Teaching leader for International Relations, United Nations, and Diplomacy.

Since May 1, 2016, Associate Professor of History has served as Faculty at the Department of Political and Social Sciences of Catholic University of Milan where he specializes in relations between North America and Europe.

From 2005 to 2016, he devoted time into researching the scientific and disciplinary field SPS-06 (History of International Relations); in A.A. 2006-07, Lecturer in History of Military Institutions and Security Systems (Module II), Faculty of Political Science, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan. Since the academic year 2007-08, Associate Professor of History of Political Relations between North America and Europe, Faculty of Political Science (since 01.11.2012, Faculty of Political and Social Sciences), Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan

Lecturer in the history of international relations module of the Master in diplomacy (formally Master in International Affairs) at ISPI–Istituto per gli Studi di politica Internazionale; within the same institute, coordinator and lecture at the winter school “The Energy Policies of the European Union” 

Founding member of Society for Middle East Studies (SeSaMO) and served as a member of the Italian Society of International History (SISI), and Italian Society of Military History (of which he was a member of the steering committee from 2007-2012). He later became an associate member of the Italian Hungarian cultural association “Pie Paolo Vergerio” and Interatenian Center for Peace Studies (CISP).

Professor Davide Borsani

Head of education in the following fields: International Relations, United Nations and Diplomacy

Professor Borsani served as a researcher in the History of International Relations (SPS/06) at the Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, where he currently teaches european integration: History and Politics. 

He has collaborated with organizations and study centers, including the Istituto per gli Studi di POlitica Internazionale (ISPI) in Milann, where he is also an associate researcher for the Transatlantic Relations program, member of the facility of the Master of Diplomacy for the History of International Relations And coordinator of the short course “The United Nations and International Security”. 

He has spoken several times at the International Congress of Military History of the International Commission on Military History (CIHM) as a member of the delegation of the Ministry of Defence. Within this same commission, he has been the president’s academic assistant since 2015 and a member of the bibliographic committee since 2021. He is also a member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Military History and Historiography (IJMH).

Since 2018, he has participated as a pedagogical advisor in the simulations of the work of the United Nations in New York (NMUN). In 2010, he participated as an expert in the field in two exercises of the NATO Rapid Deployment Corps – Italy (NRDC-ITA).

He is editorial secretary of the Quaderni di Scienze Politiche (QdSP) dell’Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. He is also qualified as a second-ranking professor for the period 2018-2027 in the competition sector 14/B2 – History of international relations, companies and non-European institutions.

Francesca Sironi De Gregorio

Professor and Member of the United Nations General Assembly. Responsible for education in the field of International Law, United Nations Resolutions and rules of procedure.

Francesca Sironi De Gregorio is currently pursuing a doctorate in public international law at the University of Palermo, with a project on digital evidence in international litigation. She obtained her summa cum laude diploma from the Catholic University of Milan in 2019, where she currently works as a teaching assistant. After graduating, she did an internship at the International Criminal Court in Pre-Trial Chamber II. She is also a legal collaborator at Genocide Watch, where she works on strategic litigation to provide reparations to victims of atrocities. She was a visiting researcher at UNESCO headquarters, the Relais Culture Europe (Paris) and the Library of the Palais de la Paix (The Hague). Her main areas of research are general public international law, international criminal law, international humanitarian law and feminist approaches to international law.

Aleksandar Damjanovski

Pedagogical advisor

Teacher in international law and geopolitics at the Unicollege SSML in Florence and holding the position of economic analyst at the Luigi Einaudi Center, actively participating in the “Measuring Economic Freedom” project. He obtained his doctorate in international studies at the School of International Studies of the University of Trento, focusing his research on preferential models of behavior in the European Union’s defense cooperation initiatives. His academic career includes a master’s degree in international relations and European studies, as well as a bachelor’s degree in international studies, both obtained at the University of Florence. He obtained a Master’s degree in diplomatic studies from the Società Italiana per l’Organizzazione Internazionale in Rome. He did an internship at the communication service of the European University Institute and was a research assistant in the OSCE project “Trust-building measures to reduce the risk of conflict arising from the use of ICT”. In the past, he has completed a Bluebook internship at the European Commission, DG Defence, Industry and Space.

Damion Harris

Responsible for teaching in the field of non-technical skills, such as public speaking and negotiation.

English teacher and language consultant with more than ten years of experience in non-technical skills related to public speaking, negotiation, team building/work and problem solving. A speaker for the public and private sectors, he trains international executives, managers and negotiators to teach them official presentation, institutional and non-institutional public relations and negotiation techniques. He transmits the non-technical skills of MUN-FRANCE to more than fifteen countries around the world and works with most of the 50 largest national and multinational companies on the international scene. His courses in oratory, body language and negotiation are attended by thousands of professionals.

Domenico Frascà

MUNer and Analyst

He is CEO and founder of Frascà&Partners, a company that produces geopolitical and political-institutional analyses. He coordinates research mainly on new technologies, defence and international security. He produces articles, reports, files, writes speeches and positions. He was a project manager for international tertiary sector organizations. He worked as a political consultant. He was director of the Limes Club Florence, organizing many public interest events. He holds a master’s degree in leadership and strategic analysis from the Institute of Military Aeronautical Sciences (ISMA) and the University of Florence (UNIFI). He holds a master’s degree in international relations and European studies and a bachelor’s degree in political science from the Cesare Alfieri School of Political Science (UNIFI). He took the advanced course on intelligence and national security sponsored by the Department of Security Intelligence (DIS). He participated in a training course on the negotiation processes and techniques of the United Nations model in Florence, Rome and New York. He participated in the 2015 Summer University “Negotiation in Humanitarian Crises” at the “Istituto per gli Studi di Politica Internazionale” (ISPI, Milan). He has been a member of UNIFI’s Center for Cybersecurity and International Relations Studies since 2016, has collaborated with Rivista Aeronautica, Agenda Digitale and occasionally collaborates with the Luigi Einaudi Foundation. He is a member of the board of directors of Cesare Alfieri’s alumni association. He is mainly interested in geopolitics, defense and security.

VERONICA

Veronica Dominante

Project manager in France.

A graduate in political science and international relations from the Catholic University of Milan and a student at ISPI, she is currently pursuing a master’s degree in international security at the University of Groningen (Netherlands). She participated in her first Model United Nations in 2018 and has never stopped being passionate about this subject. Responsible for institutional relations with the United States since 2019, she has supervised and maintained relations with North American partners and managed projects on site in New York and Washington D.C. As part of MUN Rome, she chaired the Committee of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the Security Council. She has participated and participated in many volunteer activities and has been a universal civil service worker. Within MUN-ITALIA, she holds the role of Project Manager Italy, coordinating all active projects, staff and initiatives in place, also dealing with institutional relations with public administrations and national and international public institutions.
